The fraudulent posts urged followers to check whether they had a reserved "allocation" of tokens ahead of a supposed claim-and-trading launch set for September 25.
The ministry clarified that the posts published during the breach were not official and asked the public to disregard everything shared from the account during that window, while it activated security protocols to regain control. It's not an isolated case: in recent months, official accounts belonging to British ministers and even Paraguay's own president have been used the same way, turned into an unwitting megaphone for crypto lures riding on the credibility of a verified government account.
