An anonymous GTA 6 leaker launched his own crypto token embedded in the leaked footage, pumped it 1,400% in a day, then burned it himself
Since mid-August 2026, an anonymous account calling itself "CyberLeek" has been posting unreleased Grand Theft Auto 6 footage: real gameplay, maps, shootouts, chases. Embedded right in the leaked footage was the contract address for a token called $CYBERLEEK, which surged more than 1,400% in 24 hours, with trading volume topping $100 million at points, while critics and consumer groups flagged it as a pump-and-dump feeding off the game's hype.
On Friday, August 21, a New York court granted Take-Two (Rockstar's parent company) subpoenas forcing Microsoft and Discord to hand over IP addresses, linked accounts, and device data that could identify the leaker, with a September 4 deadline. Two days later, on Sunday the 23rd, CyberLeek's own account "burned" the token, wiping it out of circulation, while the leaker's real identity remained unknown.
