What started as a viral prank on social media in the summer of 2026 has spread like a stain across Spain: teenagers deliberately defecate in municipal pools to film it and post it online, forcing the entire facility to shut down for emergency treatment. In Tàrrega (Lleida) the pool had to close three times in a single week, and in Barro (Asturias) the town hall asked residents for help identifying the culprits.
