Ads styled like CNN headlines showed the owner of Zara and Inditex explaining how his algorithm "takes money from the world's richest and redistributes it to everyday Spanish citizens" through bitcoin trading.
Why it's false: Amancio Ortega has never given an interview about cryptocurrency — he's famous precisely for almost never speaking publicly. His holding company, Pontegadea, reported the campaign to Spain's Civil Guard in 2019 for misuse of his image; the same mockup was also recycled using Antonio Banderas's face.
